Happy New Year MOMS!
Hello St. Gerald’s MOMS,
I want to wish you a very Happy New Year!
May you wake each morning with thank you on your lips and in your heart, recognize that all is a gift, that all is a blessing
. Psalm 138:12009 was a very successful year for MOMS, thank you all for your participation and involvement. Looking forward to another great year, please feel welcome to attend any and all events and bring a friend. Speaking of events we are starting the year off with a three hour retreat "
In Her Shoes" on Saturday, January 16th from 9-12.Sandy and I will be the co-coordinators again this year and are in the planning stages for 2010. If you have ideas, suggestions or comments please feel free to e-mail or call us, we would love to hear from you! We are always looking for volunteers! Here are just a few ways you could help out…
Individual tasks:
-facilitate a session
-be a prayer partner
-provide snacks
-provide child care
-make phone calls before an event
-create a new MOMS photo album (any dedicated scrap bookers out there?)
2 or more/ small group tasks:
-create a new MOMS photo album
-organize an event for all to enjoy
-plan the reflection for the Red Candle Tea
And these are just a few ideas!!

Coming Event: Jan. 16, 2010...
"Listen, listen; take your time, go slowly. Listen, listen; you will find the holy." These words, written by Sister Joyce Rupp, inspired this MOMS reflection titled "In Her Shoes…Joyful Mysteries".
Are you in the midst of a struggle? Are competing demands on your time leading you to time crunches and worries? Jesus has something to say to you in your storm, "Peace, be still."
Walking alongside the meditations on the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary, we will be reminded of God’s extravagant, unconditional, glorious love for all of us every step of the way. For every woman in any and every kind of shoe, there are higher places to go in her walk with Christ.
Please plan to spend a few hours on this MOMS sponsored retreat, Saturday, January 16, 2010, 9 AM to noon, at the St. Gerald’s Family Room, 96th & Q. "In Her Shoes…Joyful Mysteries" is thoughtfully presented by Mary Hunt, Valerie Conzett, Nancy Kochanowicz, JoAnn Perkins, and Diane Sunde.
You will be blessed with a real sense of peace in resting in your faith that God is in control; He walks right alongside you. This 3-hour retreat will include times of group sharing, one-on-one sharing, and personal journaling. Please bring a snack to share. RSVP’s would be appreciated; contact Jen Larson at 551-9074.
